What to have ready when you call

You do not need technical language. A few details help us send the right technician and plan the visit:

  • What the system is doing. No cooling, no heat, a noise, a smell, water, a tripped breaker, or simply not keeping up.
  • The type and age of the equipment. A rough guess is fine, and a photo of the label on the outdoor unit or furnace helps.
  • What you have already tried. Changing the filter, resetting the thermostat or checking the breaker are all worth mentioning.
  • Access. Where the equipment is, whether it is in an attic or on a roof and whether a gate code, building manager or pet needs to be considered.
  • For businesses. How many units are affected, whether anyone is on site and how urgent the downtime is.
